About an hour in Arashiyama. The beginner plan sharpens a knife with its handle already on; the custom plan adds a choice of blade and fitting the handle yourself.

Good to Know

• The workshop is conducted in English and Japanese
• No prior knife-making or sharpening experience is required
• Children under 6 years old cannot participate
• Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled start time
• Guests who arrive more than 5 minutes late cannot participate in the workshop
• A burger café is located at the same venue, so we recommend arriving early and waiting there before your session
• Sharp knives and workshop tools are used during the experience. Please follow the instructor's safety instructions at all times
• The Japanese knife included in your selected workshop can be taken home after the workshop
